The Ruling Elements of Nature – Part 6: Water

This is part 6 of a 7-part series on the Ruling Elements of Nature.

Water is nourishing and refreshing.

Water can also flood, drown and destroy.

Water can be seen and felt but always runs downwards.

When water meets a solid object, it will try to go around it if possible.

Water can’t move upwards unless its powered by energy (fire and air).

Characteristics within the Water Element include healing, fluidity, purification, regeneration and stability.

Waterlords are co-operative, companionable, hospitable and sociable. They are concerned with the welfare of others.

Many of the wizard healers in Nadensa were Waterlords.

Waterlords tend to make decisions based on their emotions rather than by reason, and although they’re emotional in nature, they don’t outwardly express it. Their feelings are hurt easily but they tend not to let it show.

When it comes to the darker side of water, Waterlords are not prone to physical violence, but because they have deep emotional feelings and a tendency to let things build up inside them, they can become extremely abusive if pushed too far, or if they see others succeeding my immoral means.
